"How was Disney during COVID?"

"How was Disney during COVID?"

The number one question I have received from at least 30 of you! With a lot of copy/pasting I decided to write a post about it. Disney, of all brands knows how to do things right. Even in crazy times like these.

Like most things, there were pros + cons to taking a family trip this summer. I am so glad we went - but I will admit things were VERY different. Magic Kingdom was wonderful, but if I’m honest... a little of the magic was missing.

Disney felt more like a theme park than a world of wonder + love to be real. One of the greatest pros was that my step kids had never been, so they actually got to ride every ride/coster not once but twice if they wanted! There was not a wait that exceeded 30 min. While most of the time 10 or 15 minutes was the maximum time we waited for anything.

The park was not crowded at all! I can't believe we got a photo in front of the castle without people in the background. It was really nice to have the park to ourselves.

There were no characters sadly. There also were no shows. They did, however manage to create little mini-parades. Without having a full scheduled parade with lights or fireworks at the end of the night... they did put together little mini parades throughout the day (which was cute for Maylin + Skylin).

There was a big con... even though it was a great trip I am a little disappointed that Disney seemed to create a lot more anxiety however with the kids, people + staff then Magic. Staff constantly were telling you to pull your masks up, down or tighter- not kindly, but very strictly + even rudely. My kids couldn’t even itch their noses without someone yelling from across the room.

Don’t get me wrong. I understand rules. I understand this is a pandemic. I understand fear turns everyone into the worst version of themselves... I am just documenting the fact that Disney is VERY strict with its COVID rules.

Is it safe to go? Absolutely. Will you have fun? Most definitely! Was it worth it? Totally! A great memory for our family... reminding everyone to stay safe, live life + keep loving no matter what.

Besides- magic comes from the love + faith within right? xoxo

***if you asked the kids... they LOVED IT. They had a blast! I kept telling them all day how proud I was of them to keep a great attitude during these hard times.

Guys, “who your kids become” during this time will set them apart from others when we all emerge from this! Make sure they are the friends, the people, the young adults that they can be proud of. Leaders. Not of fear... but with hope, great attitudes + healthy minds!
